Contraception, IUDs and Implanon

Advice on all contraceptive options so you can choose what suits your body and your plans. Dr Sweety performs copper and hormonal IUD insertions and Implanon insertions and removals in clinic, usually after an initial consultation to plan the procedure.

Cervical screening

Cervical screening tests are recommended every five years for women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 74. Ask about the option of collecting your own sample.

Periods, hormones and PCOS

Heavy, painful or irregular periods, suspected PCOS or endometriosis, and other hormonal symptoms, with investigations and specialist referral when needed.

Pregnancy planning and antenatal care

Pre-conception checks, supplements and vaccinations, fertility questions, and GP antenatal care through pregnancy, working with your chosen hospital or obstetrician.

Perimenopause and menopause

Hot flushes, sleep changes, mood, periods and bone health: an individual plan for perimenopause and menopause, including a clear discussion of whether menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) is right for you, and regular review.

Iron deficiency

Heavy periods and pregnancy are common causes of low iron. When tablets aren't suitable or haven't worked, Dr Sweety can arrange an in-clinic iron infusion.

Breast health, sexual health and wellbeing

Breast checks and screening advice, STI testing, and support for mood, stress and emotional wellbeing, including mental health care plans.
